Our goal is to create a fun, safe, and meaningful christian environment where kids can learn and grow in the their faith, and provide opportunities for them to serve and share their faith with others.

We believe that it is never too early to teach a child about God's amazing love!

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to bring?

If you have an infant or toddler, you can bring a diaper, their pacifier, and a bottle or sippy cup. For kids age 3 and up—nothing at all! We always have extra diapers so don’t worry if you forget! If you can, please label their items with their name before you come.

Where do I go to register?

At registration tables located at the Treasure Quest and Treasure Land areas.

When do I drop off and pick-up my child?

TC Kids opens at 9:15 a.m. on Sunday. You’ll return to pick-up your child right after the worship services have ended.

What will my child do in Treasure Quest (Kinder- 5th graders)?

Kids play various games, build puzzles can use Legos during “game time”, connect with friends , worship God, explore the Bible, and talk together about how the day’s lesson connects with their everyday life.

I’m bringing an infant. What’s Treasure Land like for them?

We have a safe and fun space designed just for parents to take and be with their babies from birth to 12 months. Infants enjoy a 1:2 ratio of volunteerss to babies, and the rooms are full of baby-oriented toys. If your infant needs to sleep, there are cribs for them to sleep in.

Can I stay with my child?

Of course! Just mention that you would like to visit your child’s room at check in, and we’ll get you your very own guest name tag.

How do I know my child will be safe?

Your child’s safety is important to us, and we have many elements working together to keep every child safe: all volunteers are screened through government-run background checks; volunteers receive training about child safety; and we maintain a thorough safety protocol, including a security tag system for check in and pick up.

What if my child needs me during the service?

We will send you a text if we need to contact you for any reason during the service. Please keep your phone available, with sound turned off or on vibrate. If you think we may not have your correct mobile number or want to add an additional number, please let us know when you sign in.

Mitch Silvia - Children’s Pastor
After being born and raised in northern California I attended college at Oral Robert University in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  I received a B.A. degree in Theology/Sociology. After completing an 18 month ministry internship here at Trinity Church in 1983, I joined Youth For Christ and started a new Middle School ministry to military dependants in Augsburg, Germany.  After three years in Germany I returned to San Antonio to go back to school and receive a Teacher Certification in Physical Education and I became a P.E. Coach for 15 years before God called me to care for, love and minister to young children in church ministry.

In Mark 10:14,15  Jesus said ‘let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.  Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it” God used that scripture to burn in my heart a desire and passion to show and share with kids that God has a special love for them and the greatest life they can ever live is a life with Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Seven years ago, God brought me back to Trinity Church to use the love and passion He gave me for kids at the very church that gave me my first ministry opportunity after college.  What a surprise and joy it is to serve here with such a great, loving and humble ministry team here at Trinity Church.
